Film Line is an interactive filmmaking learning and production management tool for use in the classroom. Based on a concept and tool first developed by Europe’s leading filmmaking school for children and young people, Denmark’s Station Next.
Scotland’s system has been developed by Screen Education Edinburgh (SEE) through support from Screen Scotland and utilises SEE’s learning approach that has developed pupils and teachers in filmmaking at a number of curriculum levels, covering key film crafts and stages to achieve a film from conception to completion.
Learners will have the ability to make films individually, covering all of the craft roles, or collaborate with their classmates, with each taking on defined roles.
Currently in testing phase, the tool will pilot in Edinburgh schools early 2023, before rolling out across Scotland later in 2023.
